9 things you need to know about ChatGPT Memory!

Ever wondered why ChatGPT suddenly forgot your previous conversation?

It’s important to understand how ChatGPT’s memory works so you can always get the most out of it.

We’re breaking down 9 things to know.

🦾How You Can Leverage:

There's no "One-size-fits-all" when it comes to AI.

If you're a fast growing company needing to leverage all that Generative AI has to offer, the last thing you want is vendor lock-in.

Or, finding out the AI solution you thought you needed doesn't actually have the juice you need.

Then you’re back at square one.

One solution?

AWS, or Amazon Web Services.

The person to guide us on our Generative AI journey?

Shruti Koparkar.

Shruti is Product Marketing Lead, AI/ML Acceleration at AWS, one of the largest cloud computing and content delivery platforms in the world.

Tech titans like Netflix, LinkedIn, and Facebook all run on AWS, as do Generative AI darlings like Perplexity and Adobe.

In other words, if you’re a startup or enterprise looking to leverage Generative AI, Shruti’s a go-to expert.

She connects the tech pieces to help AI startups scale and big tech go boom.

Shruti gave us an insider’s look at how AWS can accelerate any company’s Generative AI journey.

Ready to Accelerate?

Us, too.

Here’s 3 things you need to know from today’s convo

1 – AWS for when you go mega viral 🤩

Shruti told the story about Perplexity’s quick rise to Generative AI fame.

Almost too quick.

See, when you’re choosing a compute partner, you’ve gotta be careful. If you get locked in with a smaller provider, your growth might get stifled.

That didn’t happen with Perplexity.

Shruti talked about how Perplexity quickly jumped from a relatively unknown AI startup, into a GenAI Goliath and one of the most visited websites on the internet.

Powering Perplexity behind the scenes? AWS, and its ability to quickly scale infrastructure and services to meet demand. Shruti said AWS's scalable compute resources, specifically the P4D and P4DE instances equipped with NVIDIA GPUs, were pivotal for Perplexity.

Try this:
Perplexity is one of our favorite GenAI products, hands down. (Glad they had the whole scale thing figured out with AWS, right!?)

Go watch this short video from EO on how a 30-person team in Perplexity challenged Big Tech.

2 – Switch it up with more models 🔀

What happens when your company shifts and pivots?

Or, if you’re an enterprise company that hasn’t really dipped its toe into the Generative AI waters but is ready to make a big splash?

That’s why it’s important to start with big goals, Shruti said

With Diverse Foundation Model Access in AWS and customization and fine-tuning for specific needs, companies can either dig deep or stay light on their feet and pivot.

Try this:
Optimizing LLM performance requires iterative experimentation with prompts, retrievals, and fine-tuning.

This article takes a super dorky dive, if fine-tuning is your thang.

3 – Data is the differentiator 📊

If compute is the new gold, then data is the shovel. 🤷

Your GenAI journey won’t matter if you don’t have the right data in place. Shruti said that your company’s data is your competitive advantage.

Shruti emphasized the critical role of unique, proprietary data in differentiating AI applications.

Think of data as an extension of your people’s efforts. If your people are skilled and unique and can outperform their competition, what is the data that is tied to those efforts and how can it be captured and turned into rocket fuel?

AI models are available to everyone. Your competitors, too. So, it’s your unique data that sets you apart, crafting experiences and solutions others can't match.

Try this:
How important is data to your AI strategy?

Well, your AI strategy won’t work without data. This article from Forbes takes an interesting look at how AI Needs Data More Than Data Needs AI.
