1. OpenAI to Launch āStrawberryā AI with Enhanced Reasoning Capabilities š
OpenAI is gearing up to introduce āStrawberry,ā which promises to enhance artificial intelligence by incorporating reasoning skills before generating responses. According to reports, this model will be integrated into the ChatGPT service within the next two weeks and will stand out from typical conversational AI by taking a moment to "think" before answering queries, rather than responding immediately.
While initially focusing solely on text interactions, the standalone offering of Strawberry is expected to attract significant interest, especially as OpenAI recently announced it has over 1 million paying users across its business products, fueled by the popularity of its advanced chatbot.
2. 60 Countries Agree on Blueprint for AI Use in Military š
At the Responsible AI Military Domain (REAIM) summit in Seoul, approximately 60 nations, including the United States, endorsed a significant blueprint for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in military applications, while China opted out of the agreement.
Co-hosted by the Netherlands, Singapore, Kenya, and the United Kingdom, the summit aims to foster a shared understanding of AI in warfare and ensure a balanced discussion among participating nations. With rising concerns about AI-enabled drones and the potential for mass destruction, officials emphasized the necessity of maintaining human control over these technologies.
3. U.S. Commerce Department Proposes New Reporting Requirements for AI Developers šŗšø
The U.S. Commerce Department is stepping up its game by proposing detailed reporting requirements for advanced AI developers and cloud computing providers. This initiative aims to ensure that "frontier" AI models are safe and resilient against cyberattacks, with mandatory disclosures about cybersecurity measures and red-teaming activities.
President Biden's recent executive order emphasizes the necessity for AI developers to share safety test results with the government prior to public release.
4. Oracleās Cloud Services Soar While Partnering with AWS š
Oracle has announced remarkable fiscal Q1 results for 2025, achieving $133 billion in revenueāa 7% year-over-year increase. The companyās cloud services revenue surged 21%, driven by significant partnerships with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, highlighted by a new multi-cloud agreement with AWS set to launch in December.
With 162 cloud data centers currently operational, Oracle is targeting an expansion to 2,000 centers in the future while focusing on reducing power consumption.
5. NVIDIAās Stock Takes a Hit, Goldman Sachs Sees a Silver Lining š
NVIDIAās stock is feeling the burn after a 17% market cap drop, but Goldman Sachs is waving a green flag for investors, calling it an attractive entry point. CEO Jensen Huang's muted guidance has left some worried, but analyst Toshiya Hari believes demand for NVIDIA's AI chips is still soaring, especially with customers outside the usual suspects like Amazon and Google starting to invest.
Meanwhile, competitors are feeling the heat as they scramble to develop their own chips, but NVIDIAās H100s still dominate the AI market with a whopping 90% share.
6. AI Models Revolutionize Research Idea Generation š”
A recent Stanford study with over 100 NLP researchers found that large language models (LLMs) can generate novel and valuable research ideas, often surpassing those created by humans. This suggests that LLMs could serve as powerful assistants, providing fresh perspectives and innovative pathways for scientific inquiry.
However, researchers caution that reliance on LLMs might risk stifling human creativity and that further investigation into their limitations is necessary.

š¦¾How You Can Leverage:
Did Apple just turn a $1,200 iPhone into a million dollar consultant?
Or, did the companyās recent iPhone rollout and new AI features at their Glow Time event just solidify the fact that Apple is light years behind everyone else in terms of Generative AI?
Hereās the dual reality yāall š
- Apple is laughably late to the business world of Generative AI
And
- Apple will be giving (literally) billions of people their first hands-on taste of Generative AI.
Weird, right?
If youāre a bit confused on Appleās AI play and what it means for your biz, donāt worry.
Today, we gave you all the info you need to know.
Whether you're an Apple fanatic or a skeptic, one thing's for sure: these new AI features are gonna shake things up in the business world.
We broke down the new AI features in detail on our AI in 5 yesterday.
Ready to get the lowdown on Apple's AI game?
Hereās 5 new-ish AI features coming in Apple Intelligence and how you can use em. š
1 ā Writing Tools: Your Always-On Editor āļø
Better years later than never?
Apple's bringing AI writing assistance across their ecosystem. It's not just for iPhones - this feature will work on Macs and iPads too.
We assume this will be the most used āApple Intelligenceā feature, as using it will over time become as synonymous as autocorrect.
You can highlight text, change tone, improve grammar, and get real-time suggestions as you type.
It's like having a writing coach built into every app.
Try this:
(Once Apple Intelligence starts rolling out in October for U.S. customersā¦.)
Next time you're crafting a marketing campaign, use these AI tools to refine your product descriptions.
Start with a basic outline, then ask the AI to suggest improvements for clarity and engagement.
Experiment with different tones - professional, casual, enthusiastic - and see which resonates best with your target audience.
Pay attention to how the AI handles industry-specific jargon and consider how it might help standardize your company's communication style.
2 ā Photo and Video Whisperer: Your Visual Data Analyst šø
Donāt sleep on this one, yāall.
We think of personal use cases, but this could be a game-changer if businesses send out iPhones in droves to their employees.
This feature turns your iPhone into a visual search engine for your media library.
(And assuming weāll see a similar feature on Mac desktops)
It can understand and index the content of your photos and videos, making it easy to find specific moments or create themed collections.
It's not just about finding cute pet pics - it's a powerful tool for businesses to organize and utilize their visual assets.
Try this:
(Once Apple Intelligence is rolled outā¦.)
If you're in event planning or real estate, use this feature to create a comprehensive portfolio of your work.
Ask Apple Intelligence (ughhhh we hate calling it this TBH) to categorize photos from past events or property listings based on specific criteria like venue type, event size, or property features.
Then, use these categorized images to quickly put together a tailored presentation for your next client meeting.
See how this impacts your preparation time and the effectiveness of your pitches.
3 ā Focused Summaries: Your Digital Triage Nurse š
Focus and clarity.
Normally we get benefits like that from Yoga and Zen stuff, but we might get some of that with Appleās AI here.
Apple's AI will prioritize and summarize your notifications based on their importance and your schedule.
It knows your calendar, emails, and messages, so it can contextualize information and help you focus on what's truly urgent.
Try this:
(Once Apple Intelligence is rolled outā¦.)
For a week, use these AI summaries to manage your project updates. Have your team send their daily progress reports as usual, but rely on the AI to summarize and prioritize the information.
Pay attention to how it handles different types of updates - does it accurately identify critical issues versus routine progress?
Keep track of any important details it might miss, and see if this system allows you to make quicker, more informed decisions about resource allocation or timeline adjustments.
4 ā Siri 2.0: Your Contextually Aware Assistant š£
Not even kidding ā Siri was so clueless that she/it started to take over our livestream this morningā¦.
Anyways, apparently Siri's getting smarter, with the ability to understand context, nuance, and natural conversation.
It can now tap into your personal data to provide more relevant assistance, and you can even type to Siri for those moments when voice commands aren't appropriate.
Try this:
(Once Apple Intelligence is rolled outā¦.)
Before your next big presentation or client meeting, ask Siri to brief you. Have it pull relevant information from your emails, calendar, and notes.
Ask for a summary of your last interaction with the client, any outstanding action items, and current market trends that might be relevant.
Yāallā¦ if this ACTUALLY works, we could finally get a smart assistant thatā¦. GETS us!
(Thatās a huge IF, though, as current smart assistants are the exact opposite of smart. Lolz)
5 ā Visual Intelligence: Your Real-World Search Engine š
Can we insert a random #HotTakeTuesday take here?
OK, good. (We make the rules.)
Apple ā yāall chase a legit facepalm example to showcase this. Oy.
Got it, #AppleIntelligence
So instead of asking the human what breed of dog they have, we sneakily/creepily take a photo of it and use AI.
Got it.

Anyways, this is the one NEW feature we got out of Appleās announcement yesterday, and it will presumably start out as an exclusive feature to iPhone 16s only, as it requires the new camera control button/notch feature.
In short, this turns your camera into a knowledge portal.
Againā¦ this is old for the rest of us.
Google, ChatGPT, Meta and others have had these features for a while.
It can identify objects, translate text, and even solve math problems in real-time. It integrates with services like ChatGPT and Google for deeper insights.
Try this:
(Once Apple Intelligence is rolled outā¦.)
If you're in retail or product development, use this feature during your next market research outing.
Visit competitors' stores or trade shows and use the visual intelligence to quickly gather data on products.
Snap photos of interesting items and ask the AI to provide details on materials, potential pricing, and market trends.
