1. Apple Taking a Slow Approach to AI -- Apple CEO Tim Cook recently spoke on Apple’s plans for AI or should I say the lack of plans. “I do think it’s very important to be deliberate and thoughtful in how you approach these things,” Cook said.

2. Microsoft Just Saved AMD --  AMD saw its stock drop after noneventful earnings, but most of the losses were erased after reports of a potential collaboration with Microsoft, in their hopes to provide new AI chips.

3. Big AI Changes are Coming to Google  -- Google’s annual developer’s conference is this Wednesday. The company plans to announce its new general-use large language model called PaLM 2. Google is also set to unveil advancements to Bard and Search with “generative experiences.”

4. AI and Predictive Analytics -- Microsoft recently held a webinar discussing how many are jumping to cloud-based AI and analytics. Check out more of their findings.

5. China is Ready to implement AI Regulation -- While American leaders worry that China might eventually overtake the U.S. in developing artificial intelligence, Chinese officials will already close consultation Wednesday on a second round of generative AI regulation, building on a set of rules governing deepfakes agreed in 2022.

Now that you know what’s going on, here’s how to leverage it

🫵 Why It Matters To You: Currently, a lot of people are using ChatGPT and other AI tools simply to create and write things. But AI can be so much more. In the case of ChatGPT, you can use it to leverage how you find out information and gather resources.

How You Can Leverage: Let’s say you need to brush up on your knowledge of the latest marketing trends. You can have ChatGPT become a “marketing expert” and relay the top insight on recent trends vs stumbling through 10 different Google Search results.

Behind The Scenes: Here’s how you can transform ChatGPT into your personal  assistant:

📝 Prime -Give it any background information you have and assign it a role (ex: you are a marketing professor at X university and Google has just announced x.)

🗣️ Prompt - This is the part where you tell ChatGPT what you need from it. It’s crucial to have a good prompt in order to get the best outcome possible.

🧼 Polish - Once you receive your response, you can tweak your prompt based on what you want ChatGPT to add to it’s response or change.
