1. Salesforce and OpenAI Link Up for Next-Level AI CRM 🤝
Salesforce and OpenAI just announced a major partnership, blending Agentforce 360 with OpenAI’s cutting-edge models like GPT-5. Starting today, users can tap ChatGPT to access sales records, analyze customer chats, and whip up Tableau visuals with simple requests.
This pairing means smarter enterprise workflows and instant recommendations are now at your fingertips, not just for consumers, but for anyone looking to boost productivity or scale their business.
2. Oracle Bets Big on AMD AI Chips, Shaking Up Cloud Competition 🧂
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure just announced plans to deploy 50,000 AMD Instinct MI450 GPUs starting in late 2026, signaling a major shift in the race to power artificial intelligence, according to CNBC. With AMD now elbowing into Nvidia’s territory, this move could mean more options and potentially lower costs for companies hungry for AI muscle.
Stock reactions were swift: Oracle fell 3% while AMD ticked up and Nvidia lost ground, reflecting investor nerves over the changing landscape.
3. Walmart and OpenAI Team Up to Transform Shopping 🛍️
Walmart just announced a partnership with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, marking a big move to bring conversational AI into everyday shopping.
The retailer says this will soon change the old-school search bar experience, potentially making online purchases easier and more personalized for millions of shoppers. This comes as Walmart races to catch up with Amazon’s Rufus assistant, while privacy advocates warn about the growing amount of consumer data AI could scoop up.
4. WPP and Google Lock In $400M AI-Powered Marketing Pact ✨
WPP and Google just signed a five-year, $400 million partnership to turbocharge cloud and AI innovation for marketing, according to Google Cloud. The deal promises to speed up campaign creation from months to days, bring advanced personalization to millions, and even train over 1,000 new AI-savvy creatives by 2030.
With early access to Google’s hottest AI models and tools, WPP clients can expect smarter, faster, and more targeted campaigns.
5. OpenAI Loosens Content Rules, Eyes Adult Market 🫦
OpenAI is planning to allow adult users access to previously restricted content, including erotica, by the end of the year, according to Axios. CEO Sam Altman announced the move on X, explaining that new mental health safeguards now let the company "treat adult users like adults," a major shift aimed at making ChatGPT more appealing and human-like.
This comes as lawmakers consider tighter AI regulations and as competitors like Grok push the boundaries of virtual companionship.
🦾How You Can Leverage:
Remember using an iPhone without apps?
Yeah, there was actually a period of more than a year where iPhone didn’t have apps.
There’s a reason the ‘App Store Moment’ was minted as a textbook business term: it fundamentally changed how society got ish done.
(Or wasted time.)
In 5 years, will we look back at the ChatGPT today and lolz at how little work we could accomplish without apps.
At Dev Day, OpenAI just launched their third ecosystem attempt in two years. Plugins flopped. GPTs kinda got abandoned.
Now we have ChatGPT Apps with Canva, Zillow, Spotify, and others live for free and paid users.
This rollout is a mess. But the potential — if OpenAI gets it right — might reshape how 800 million people work.
Short-term, ChatGPT Apps will flop. Long-term…. Yeah, it might be the iPhone no apps to iPhone apps analogy.
We went all-in on Apps on today’s show, but here’s the CliffNotes version.
1 – Apps Eliminate Context Switching ⚡
OpenAI's internal testing showed 70% productivity gains doing work inside ChatGPT versus jumping between apps.
Not marginal. Transformational.
Here's the old way: research strategy in ChatGPT, copy everything, open Canva, find template, paste, resize, adjust colors, export, review, repeat.
Absolute nightmare.
New way: stay in the same window. Call Canva with one command. Talk to the app like your homie. Deck materializes in two minutes. Boomdone.
Window switching, resharing context and copy-pasting-formatting is destroying your team's output and nobody's measuring it.
Try This: Install Canva app today. Next time you're building a strategy deck, do everything in one ChatGPT window from research to final design. Time yourself. Compare it to your old workflow where you'd juggle three different tools.
2 – Apps Aren't GPTs or Connectors 🚀
GPTs are customized ChatGPT versions. Connectors pull your data in. Apps are actual interactive interfaces.
Canva's GPT mostly doesn't work. (Sorry not sorry.) Their connector searches existing designs brilliantly. Their app lets you create and iterate in real-time.
Morale of this story? Squeezing utility out of an interactive interface makes you feel kinda like Ironman. (Make me look 10 years younger, Jarvis.) Natural language beats learning another clunky interface every time.
Your CRM — but you just tell it what you need in English? No help docs? That's the play.
Try This: List every software tool your team complains about during onboarding. Those clunky, training-intensive platforms are prime candidates for ChatGPT apps. Start planning now because when submissions open, first movers will own their categories.
3 – OpenAI Must Pay Make Devs Rich or They’ll Fail 🔥
Seven apps. No submission timeline. No monetization plan. (Seemingly) No strategy.
We saw similar rollouts with ChatGPT Plugins the GPT “store”. Lolz.
Third time's the charm?
Or, more like third time's a pattern of fumbling launches and you don’t really get a second shot at a Grand Opening of your third attempt at something.
But.
Buuuuuuuut…. OpenAI can still smash this if they make developers stinky rich. Fast. Publicly.
iOS App Store created 5,000 millionaire-earning apps this past year. If OpenAI starts putting broke devs in Lambos, the media will gobble that up. Those news cycles attracted more developers. More developers brought more users. The flywheel spun.
OpenAI talked about GPT creator monetization.Developers who actually got paid? Crickets, shorty.
Make 100 developers millionaires in Q1 2026. Make it loud. Make it undeniable. Create the PR buzz that forces action.
Every enterprise software company will realize they have no choice but to build a ChatGPT app or lose access to 800 million users.
Try This: If you're building software, start learning the Apps SDK today even though you can't submit. When OpenAI finally opens submissions, you want to be week one, not month six. Identify one proprietary workflow your company could expose as an app that would genuinely help users.
