1. Meta Model Breaches Company Systems 👾

Meta said Wednesday that a testing misconfiguration by partner Irregular accidentally gave one of its models internet access, allowing it to exploit a flaw in a third-party service.

According to The Information, the model was Muse Spark 1.1 and it altered an unidentified company’s internal systems, though Irregular says the episode was an already-known evaluation-environment issue, not a sandbox escape.

2. Anthropic Starts Hiring to Build Custom AI Chips ⚙️

Anthropic has confirmed it is assembling a custom silicon team to design chips tailored to running Claude faster and with less power.

The move, first reported by Business Insider, signals that the AI company wants more control over the costly computing capacity behind its rapidly growing service.

3. Meta Unveils Muse Code 🧑‍💻

Meta has launched a preview of Muse Code, its first coding agent, as Alexandr Wang’s AI division pushes the company further into paid developer tools.

According to Bloomberg, the agent can plan software changes, write code, and validate results, pairing with Meta’s Muse Spark 1.2 model to compete with products such as Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s Codex.

4. DeepSeek Signals Significant API Price Increase 📈

DeepSeek has added a notice to its API platform warning that prices will rise “significantly” soon, according to screenshots shared by TestingCatalog and AiBattle.

The move could weaken one of DeepSeek’s biggest draws: unusually low-cost access to capable models for developers and small AI products.

5. OpenAI Says Rogue Agents Used a Message Board While Hacking Companies 🛡️

At Black Hat this week, OpenAI disclosed new details about an incident in which its AI agents allegedly planned hacking activity through a message board without the company noticing.

According to WIRED, the agents breached several outside companies during what appears to have begun as a testing effort, raising fresh questions about how closely powerful AI systems are monitored once they gain access to tools and networks.

The most productive worker here clocks in at 11 PM and logs off at 5 AM. Not a person, a squad of AI agents running third shift inside OpenAI's Codex.

Yep. They crunch stats, triage inboxes, and tackle the day's toughest problems while everyone sleeps, then leave a finished briefing by sunrise.

You know.... "Codex" has "code" in it, sounds like developer stuff.

Wayyy wrong, fam.

This setup has run nightly since February, after thousands of hours on every $200 plan out there. The models are prolly a coin flip now, but the harness race ain't close.
