🦾How You Can Leverage:

Are doctors a bad thing?

Is the healthcare system too broken in the U.S. to fix?

And if we try to slap so much AI on the problem like Flex Seal, will AI-powered healthcare fix the problem?

So many questions.

So many answers from Adrian Aoun.

If you pay attention to healthcare or AI, you probably know who Adrian as the Founder and CEO of Forward, one of the most innovative companies out there.

(And we’re not just talking in the AI and medical space.)

Formerly an AI lead at Google AI (and right-hand man to the CEO), Adrian started Forward in 2016 and has raised more than $300 million dollars to change healthcare.

How?

You guessed it. With a lotta tech and AI.

If you tuned in live, you got a hefty injection of AI-and-healthcare epinephrine from Adrain, and some candidly straightforward takes on the future of healthcare.

Was this episode an instant MUST if you are a human who sees doctors?

Take Ken’s word. 👇

Yeah. It is. Go give it a listen, and then let’s get some answers.

Adrian’s insights were like a friendly slap of energy you didn’t know you needed.

Your future health may thank you, so go give today’s show a listen and leave us a comment.

Here’s the 3 takeaways you need to know.

Caution: they’re a bit spicy. 🌶️

1 – Doctors aren’t going away 🧑‍⚕️️

Are doctors actually going away because of all this medical AI?

Not necessarily.

Just because AI is making headways into healthcare, doesn't mean doctors are becoming obsolete.

Although if you step into some of Forward’s new-age facilities, you’ll probably see more AI and tech than white coats.

Adrian shared some eye-opening insights about the role of doctors in the future of healthcare.

Drawing from his experience at Google, he called out the disparity of impact between technology and healthcare professionals.

While a tech update can reach billions instantly, a doctor can only cater to one patient at a time.

Try this: Want to hear what the medical field’s brightest minds are saying about the future of AI and healthcare? Here’s some bold AI-in-healthcare predictions from leaders at companies like GoodRX, Hippocratic AI, Salesforce, Redesign Health, and others.

2 – Trade privacy for better health? 🕵️

Full disclosure — our host Jordan will freely trade every piece of his healthcare data to not have to wait 6 months and/or pay $2k each month for insurance.

And that’s kind of the point Adrian took

He gets that people aren’t lining up to hand over all their vitals to the nearest AI-powered health product.

But why not?

He asked the question: would you trade your health data privacy for longevity?

You can get proactive healthcare and be more open to data collection, or you can wait 129 days to see your Primary Care Physician and pay out the wazoo.

Your choice.

(Obvi paraphrasing here, but we think that captured Adrian’s overall sentiment)

Try this: In a pretty related note, we talked to the President of the American Medical Association on VERY similar topics.

(Yeah, we bring you the truth from heavy hitters here at Everyday AI)

3 – AI is proactive; healthcare is reactive

The healthcare system is so archaic and broken, it actually kinda led to Adrian starting Forward almost a decade ago.

As an AI thought leader and prominent Google leader, he said he sat confused with his brother in the hospital room. His brother had suffered a heart attack, yet Adrian said his treatment plan consisted of words on sticky notes.

Pretty Ah-ha moment for trying to disrupt the nearly $5 trillion healthcare industry, right?

That’s where Adrian said the Forward story unofficially began — combining his expertise in AI and building a disruptive force in Forward to shake up a healthcare industry that so desperately needed to get rid of sticky note treatments.

Adrian detailed ways that AI can monitor, predict, and suggest preventive actions even before a problem arises.

That sounds like a better option to us. What about you?

Try this: Proactive healthcare and AI your jam? This article is your peanut butter, then. This healthleaders piece takes a zoomed-out look at what the jump from traditional reactive healthcare to AI-powered proactive healthcare looks like.

Numbers to watch

$24 Billion

Nvidia forecasted revenue for the current quarter is $24 billion, with analysts expecting $22.17 billion on average. 😮
