1. OpenAI Rolls Back GPT-4o Update After ā€œSycophancyā€ Backlash ā†©ļø

OpenAI has pulled back the recent GPT-4o update after users noticed the AI was excessively agreeable, even endorsing questionable ideas, sparking a wave of memes and concern. CEO Sam Altman confirmed the rollback and promised fixes aimed at reducing the model’s ā€œsycophanticā€ behavior, which made interactions feel disingenuous and uncomfortable.

The company is now refining training methods and system prompts while exploring real-time user feedback and multiple personalities to better align ChatGPT with diverse user expectations.

2. NVIDIA Unveils 3D-Guided AI Image Generator for RTX 4080+ GPUs šŸ–¼ļø

NVIDIA has just dropped a new tool called AI Blueprint for 3D-guided generative AI, letting developers create AI images by first sketching scenes in Blender with simple 3D models. This workflow offers far more control over image details and angles than text prompts alone, addressing a common frustration in AI art creation.

Available now for RTX 4080 GPUs or higher, it bridges Blender with Black Forest Lab’s FLUX.1 generator, streamlining the jump from rough 3D layouts to polished 2D images.

3. Microsoft CEO Reveals AI Now Writes Up to 30% of Company Code šŸ§‘ā€šŸ’»ļø

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella disclosed at Meta’s LlamaCon conference that AI-generated code accounts for 20-30% of the company’s codebase, with stronger results in Python than C++. This signals a rapid shift toward AI-assisted software development, aligning with Microsoft CTO Kevin Scott’s prediction that 95% of code will be AI-produced by 2030.

Meanwhile, Google reports AI is generating over 30% of its code, though measurement methods remain unclear. For developers and companies, this highlights how AI is becoming a vital tool in programming, potentially accelerating innovation but also redefining coding skills and workflows.

4. Meta Unveils LlamaFirewall to Bolster AI Security šŸ›”ļø

Meta just launched LlamaFirewall, an open-source framework aimed at protecting AI systems from rising cyber threats like prompt injection and code vulnerabilities. This new toolkit features real-time defenses such as PromptGuard 2 and CodeShield, designed to catch malicious inputs and prevent unsafe code generation.

Alongside this, Meta's updated CyberSecEval now benchmarks AI’s ability to auto-repair software bugs, signaling a push towards smarter, self-healing AI.

5. DeepSeek Rolls Out Prover V2 for Math Proofs 🧮

Chinese AI lab DeepSeek has quietly launched an upgraded version of its math-focused AI, Prover V2, on Hugging Face, building on their massive 671-billion-parameter V3 model with a mixture-of-experts design. This update sharpens the AI’s capability to tackle formal theorem proving and complex mathematical reasoning, signaling a notable stride in specialized AI applications.

With DeepSeek also preparing updates for its general-purpose and reasoning models, the company is positioning itself strongly in the competitive AI landscape.

6. Reddit Considers Legal Action After Secret AI Experiment Sparks Outrage šŸ§‘ā€āš–ļø

A covert University of Zurich study deployed AI bots posing as real users on Reddit’s r/changemyview to subtly sway opinions, sparking backlash and bans after over 1,000 deceptive comments were posted. Reddit’s legal team called the experiment ā€œdeeply wrong,ā€ citing violations of user agreements and ethical norms, while subreddit moderators demanded an ethics review and urged the university to halt publication.

The researchers claim their models had safeguards and human oversight, but the community rejects undisclosed AI manipulation on a forum built for genuine human debate.

🦾How You Can Leverage:

Your cushy corporate gig might vanish tomorrow.

Not in some distant future.

NEXT WEEK.

So…. What can we do about this whole ā€˜AI might immediately wipe out entire departments’ phenomenon that’s currently sweeping through corporate America?

Well. We’ve at least got the starter pack.

We just dropped a must-listen episode featuring Dr. Joan Palmiter Bajorek, who's survived TWO massive AI-triggered layoffs herself.

Her insights?

Absolutely essential if you want your career to survive past 2026.

When someone who builds AI systems for a living tells you that corporate America is actively calculating whether to replace you with code... maybe pay attention?

Forget job security.

That concept died the moment Shopify's CEO told employees they must justify why AI couldn't do their work before requesting resources or headcount.

And we’ve literally been saying for more than 2 years that AI will replace more jobs than it creates.

The future of work is where it’s normal to have multiple jobs, own multiple businesses, and maybe not even have a traditional ā€˜full time employment’ job.

Welcome to your new normal.

1 – The Corporate Hunger Games: Your Position Is being Cost-Compared Against Machines šŸ¤–

Harvard Business Review found 50% of Americans experience layoff anxiety. In tech hubs?

This fear isn't irrational.

Joan's company routinely analyzes whether clients should use humans or AI for specific tasks. They break down costs, evaluate performance, and make cold calculations about replacement value.

The carnage hits mid-level positions hardest. Companies preserve senior leadership and some entry roles while gutting the middle. That management layer you're climbing toward? Probably disappearing.

The most dangerous mindset?

Joan encountered family members saying "I'd rather retire than upskill."

Yeah…. That won’t work.

Try this:

Calculate your AI-versus-human ROI immediately. Create a spreadsheet tracking three metrics: hours saved using AI tools, quality improvement percentage, and cost reduction.

Volunteer for your company's AI implementation team this week—Joan notes 92% of Fortune 500 companies already have them. Learn to evaluate compute costs against human labor costs so you can articulate exactly when humans provide better value. Develop the habit of documenting these metrics weekly.

2 – Forget Resume Blasts - 70% of jobs Come Through Real Connections šŸ¤

Among people who quickly found new positions, a stunning 70% landed their next job through personal introductions.

Not AI resume optimization. Not applying to hundreds of positions.

A human vouched for them.

Joan witnessed this yesterday when a CEO friend mentioned hiring for a $800K position that only accepts warm introductions.

No application portal exists.

No amount of resume keyword optimization helps.

Just….. knowing people.

(You know…. Shaking hands and touching grass. Lolz.)

When everyone hides behind screens blasting out applications in the thousands with a new AI program, in-person networking becomes your competitive advantage.

Try this:

Schedule coffee with three industry connections this week. After meeting, send personalized follow-ups within 24 hours referencing specific conversation points.

Joan recommends targeting events in sectors where you might pivot, not just your current field. Create a simple relationship tracker with biweekly reminders to share valuable resources with key contacts.

Track which connections lead to opportunities so you can identify your most valuable relationships. Start a simple content routine showing your expertise—even one LinkedIn post weekly builds visibility over time.

Remember, Joan's biggest opportunities came from brief meetings years earlier that stayed dormant until suddenly activating.

3 – Create Your Anti-Fragile Personal Economy With Multiple Revenue Streams šŸ’ø

(Well… maybe start with ONE more next quarter?)

This isn't theoretical advice.

She built this system while watching colleagues with prestigious single-source incomes crumble during layoffs.

The most shocking example? Joan knows someone earning $1.3 million annually who still lacks basic financial stability.

One corporate decision away from disaster.

Traditional job security doesn't exist anymore, but income security absolutely can.

Try this:

Audit your current skills through the lens of rising AI demand.

Joan specifically highlights video editing as a growing opportunity—Upwork data shows 40% increased demand while writing jobs plummeted after ChatGPT launched.

Evaluate your skills for "AI-resistant" qualities like creativity, human judgment, and contextual understanding. These command premium rates while easily automated tasks lose value rapidly.
