🦾 How You Can Leverage:

If you’re an entrepreneur trying to launch from scratch, or if you always have your eye on what’s next in tech, the AI-everywhere landscape we now live in makes for a daunting time to launch.

But also the best time.

If you’re interested in the startup space or if you’re trying to turn a side hustle into a full-time gig, today’s show is a must.

Tibo Louie-Lucas gave us the blueprint.

Entrepreneur extraordinaire Tibo, currently crushing as the CTO of Taplio, joined Everyday AI today to share his experience in building, burning and rebuilding more startups than you can count on your fingers.

He’s founded a number of successful companies and acquisitions, including Taplio, Tweet Hunter, and Typeframes

(Seriously.)

With a decade of building, acquiring and selling startups, Tibo’s advice is legit golden.

(Not our words 👇)

  • Wanna hear how Tibo built and shipped a new SaaS product each week for four months?

  • Or how he secured a multi-million dollar acquisition?

  • Or what he’d focus on if he was just starting out now?

Good.

Now, let’s dissect the huge AI knowledge drop from Tibo to give your startup or new company the edge on how to stand out in a world brimming with AI everywhere.

1 – C️hange your startup approach 🗺️

Standing out in the SaaS or startup scene used to look different.

Tibo said his Key Performance Indicators tied to his definition of success have changed.

  • It used to be about having a big team.

  • Or raising a bunch of money.

  • Or stories to tell family at dinner.

Not anymore. AI has not only changed what success looks like, but also the right path to get there.

A newer approach: Ship fast, see what sticks.

Try this: In today’s show, Tibo detailed how the emergence of GenAI changed his approach on how to build and validate biz ideas.

Gone were slow MVPs and tag-teaming with 10 devs to launch a new product.

Tibo’s radical approach may serve as a future guide to others: he built and shipped a new product every week for 4 months.

Crazy thing?

It was a bunch of swings and misses until #11.

That product?

(Which now, along with Tweet Hunter, has hit $6 million in Annual Recurring Revenue. Sheeeesh!)

Go read a bit more about his journey and his million dollar exits

2 – Build and validate in public 📣

There’s a hidden problem of AI making everything (including SaaS development!) so much easier.

You may not share about your journey or #buildinpublic, as there’s a fear anyone with a free weekend and a ChatGPT account could swoop in on your next big thing.

Instead, Tibo recommended a different approach — build AND validate in public.

When going from zero to MVP to customers, you need one of two things.

A lot of money or a large audience.

Building and validating in public can help you build an audience, which can then help with that whole money thing once you’ve validated your new startup’s product or service.

Try this: Everyone’s experience may vary here. Tibo gave some pretty straightforward advice, though: don’t worry about impressing anyone.

Steal his simple formula for building and validating in public:

Validation = build in public, experiment often, measure everything.

And that’s where GenAI can come in handy. Even if you’re not a developer or a coder, it doesn’t matter anymore.

(Check what NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said about the future of development with AI: it’ll be everyday language and AI doing the heavy work, not any programming language.)

Here’s a great no-code guide to using Generative AI to build your next great startup from scratch, no Dev experience required.

3 – Focus on unique partnerships 🤝

AI changes how the world works, so why work the old way?

Tibo dished all on how he gave us 25% of Tweet Hunter for a unique partnership.

In the early days of Tweet Hunter, he forged an unlikely partnership with JK Molina, a now well-known influencer and entrepreneur.

They forged an incentive-based equity deal based on Tweet Hunter’s success.

And yeah, it was successful.

(Zero to $10 million exit in less than 2 years!)

Try this: AI can give you superpowers. But, it doesn’t mean you should be talking with bots all day.

Tibo stressed the importance of striking unique partnership deals like the one between him and JK Molina, which lead to Tweet Hunter taking off. (Both on Twitter, and in the SaaS space, and in the revenue column!)

Go read about their complete journey in this in-depth article that details how an equity-heavy partnership lead to one of the quickest SaaS launch-to-multi million dollar exits to date.
