1. OpenAI's New Tools Aim to Supercharge AI Agents šŸ¤–

OpenAI just unveiled two major toolsā€”Responses API and Agents SDKā€”that could reshape how developers build AI agents. The Responses API offers powerful features like web search, document analysis, and computer task execution, while the Agents SDK helps developers streamline complex workflows by combining multiple AI functions.

These tools aim to empower developers to create customized agents for industries ranging from customer support to legal research. With plans to replace the Assistants API by 2026, OpenAIā€™s latest move signals a push to make AI agents smarter, faster, and more versatile.

2. Meta Builds AI Chips to Slash Costs, Challenge Nvidia šŸ’¾

Meta has quietly begun deploying its in-house AI chips after a successful collaboration with Taiwan's TSMC, according to Reuters. The move is part of Meta's ambitious plan to cut infrastructure costs as it bets big on AI tools for growth, with expenses projected to hit up to $119 billion in 2025.

These dedicated chips, designed for AI-specific tasks, could eventually replace Nvidia GPUs and power everything from ad targeting to content recommendations, potentially unlocking billions in new revenue.

3. Snowflake Eyes Big AI Deals with Google and Others šŸ¤

Snowflake is making bold moves in the AI space, entering talks with Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic to offer secure AI access for regulated industries like finance and healthcare, according to The Information.

These partnerships aim to help Snowflake customers build AI-powered apps while keeping sensitive data privateā€”addressing a critical concern for sectors where security is key. With potential deals projected to generate tens of millions annually, this could be a game-changer for Snowflakeā€™s growth and its competitive edge against Amazon and Microsoft.

4. GPU Crunch Hits AI Giants šŸŽÆ

Both Meta and OpenAI are grappling with a severe shortage of GPUs, the critical hardware powering their AI ambitions, according to Morgan Stanley's insights from the Tech, Media & Telecom 2025 conference.

Meta, which uses GPUs for everything from AI model training to ad recommendations, has teams still waiting for access, despite planning up to $65 billion in AI spending by 2025. OpenAIā€™s GPU supply is ā€œcompletely saturated,ā€ even as it leverages synthetic data to sidestep other constraints.

5. Squarespace Unveils Blueprint AI, Blending Creativity with AI Power šŸ’»

šŸ¦¾How You Can Leverage:

Everyoneā€™s staring at Google and OpenAI.

Andā€¦. Whatā€™s that?! A model from China that costs $14 to train and pays you to use it?!?!

Meanwhile, Microsoft has quietly dropped some massive AI upgrades for free! that could immediately up your AI game.

Most business leaders may have never noticed.

Hereā€™s the 101 on whatā€™s new and free with Microsoft Copilot!

  • Microsoftā€™s new ā€˜Think Deeperā€™ mode leverages OpenAIā€™s o1 reasoning model, offering free and unlimited access.

  • Copilotā€™s Voice Mode is free and unlimited. Much improved, but still a lot to be desired.

  • GitHub Copilot also quietly unveiled a free tier, providing 2,000 monthly code completions, ideal even for those who donā€™t code regularly but occasionally need powerful help.

  • And Microsoft Copilot 365 Chat. (Free and consumption-based. confusing, we know.)

So today, we dove deep into Microsoftā€™s latest freebie moves to clarify these exact issues, pinpointing how your biz can either cut your AI costs or give more AI to more people.

Or, at least get WAY more of your team on the AI train.

Hereā€™s exactly what you need to know.

Choo-choo. šŸš†

1. Think Deeper Mode: Hidden Free Intelligence šŸ”

Microsoftā€™s Think Deeper mode brings the heavy duty o1 model from OpenAI to Copilot users.

For free!

Yet, itā€™s not flawless. While o1 via Copilot ā€˜Think Deeperā€™ excels in detailed reasoning, it struggles significantly with processing uploaded documents and also canā€™t connect to the internet while using.

Butā€¦. o1 has huge upside. Itā€™s a beast of a model.

Best part?

Itā€™s free and unlimited to use inside of a personal Copilot account.

Try this: To get the most from Think Deeper, paste data directly into your prompts.

Then, click that little black and white ā€˜Think Deeperā€™ button to activate free and unlimited o1 mode.

Keep your queries targeted, structured, and sequential.

But be cautious. Structured prompts help, but the model still risks occasional hallucinations.

(Like us humans!)

 2. Voice Mode: Fast Talk, Slow Results šŸŽ¤

Free and unlimited voice mode in Copilot?

Good and great!

Accurate and complex?

Not really

(Might still wanna use ChatGPTā€™s Advanced Voice Mode for that)

Copilot Voice Mode does impress with its speed and natural conversational flow but falls short on complexity.

It shines when handling quick, simple chats.

But introduce detailed data or intricate context, and Voice Mode often stumbles.

Speaking to your AI tool feels quicker than typing? It usually is. But if youā€™re looking for precision in complex tasks, Voice Mode still has serious limitations.

Try this: Limit Voice Mode use in Copilot to casual brainstorming or quick queries.

Switch immediately to text input for complex or data-driven tasks.

Track daily Voice Mode successes versus failures to optimize your workflow quickly.

For more advanced voice usage, OpenAIā€™s Advanced Voice Mode is the move.

3. Copilot Chat: Stop Burning Your AI Budget šŸ’¬

Maybe your whole org has a premium Copilot seat and hardly anyone is using it.

Or, thereā€™s thousands of users who might need just a lil Copilot action.

Welpā€¦. listen up.

Microsoft quietly introduced "Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat," a completely free and flexible pay-as-you-go alternative.

This new tier significantly undercuts their traditional $30-per-user premium tier for those that may not be power users.

So maybe your enterprise company has yā€™all in Copilot handcuffs because they think the $30/user/month is the only option for Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Not anymore with Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat.

Yeah, we get it. Confusing with the whole naming thing.

In short:

- Microsoft Copilot 365 is $30/user/month

- Microsoft Copilot 365 chat is free to use wited limited in features, but also offers pay-as-you-go pricing based on actual usage for more premium features.

You can now selectively deploy powerful AI agents without widespread, expensive licenses.

The confusion around Microsoft's licensing structure could either be costing your company money.

Or access.

Try this:

Begin rolling out Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat selectively.

Identify casual users who donā€™t need full $30/month premium access and test the pay-as-you-go option.

And if youā€™ve been sleeping on Copilot for a while, our Microsoft Ignite coverage is a great refresher.
