🤷‍♂️ What’s Going On and Why It Matters:

Hot takes, incoming. 🔥

How impactful will Microsoft 365 Copilot be?

It’ll shake the business world, at least here in the US.

Hotter take 🔥🔥🔥 — when Microsoft releases Copilot, it’ll be the first time we actually see the power of GenAI. And it’ll make the US economy boom (in both directions).

If you didn’t listen to today’s show, you might want to. Scratch that, you definitely should! If you skipped the good stuff, here’s the skinny:

Copilot brings Generative AI to Microsoft’s entire operating system. Gone are the Generative AI days of logging into dozens of siloed tools that don’t talk to each other.

Copilot allows you to just TALK to your computer. Like, respond to email A and cite facts from Word Doc B. Or, analyze the data from Spreadsheet C and Create Powerpoint D. And Copilot just … does it all for you. 🤯

(You approve it all before hitting send, of course! Don’t forget that part!)

The launch of adoption of Microsoft’s new Copilot tech will not only change the business landscape, but will likely lead to both shocking economic growth yet huge workforce reductions.

Will early adopters explode in growth? We think so.

And those that don’t jump on board? At risk of going under.

Yeah, it’s deep stuff. We’re not taking it lightly. And neither should you.

That’s why we’re breaking it all down and talking about what it all means. 👇

🦾How You Can Leverage:

Even though today’s show (and LinkedIn comments!) were full of hot takes, here’s some real-talk.

Between Google’s recently released Duet, Copilot and whatever Apple’s GPT product will be, the future of work is about to change forever.

You can sit on the sidelines and wait.

Or.

Orrrrrrrr. You can stay ahead with our 1-2-3 action plan. 👇

1 – Keep an eye on Apple 🙅‍♀️

Wait, why should we keep an eye on Apple?

Aint this about Microsoft? No, we didn’t get this mixed up.

See, Microsoft is chasing Apple for the largest company in the world in terms of market cap. And we suspect that within a few months of Copilot’s release (if not sooner!) Microsoft will leapfrog Apple.

Why’s that matter?

The more positive investor sentiment around a company, the more confidence rises. And when confidence goes up, so too does money. And adoption. So, keep a close eye on Apple in the coming months to see how they’ll respond.

Try this:
It was recently reported that Apple was working on a GPT/Gen AI product of its own, an Ajax GenAI rival to OpenAI and Microsoft’s offerings.

We covered it hours after it was announced, so give it a listen. Also, there’s been some new reports speculating more on the Ajax project from Apple.

2 – Watch Google, too.

OK, OK. Now we’re really confusing you, right? Lolz.

Nope. Again, so much in the GenAI space is like a boxing match. The towering tech giants are responding to each other, poaching each other’s best AI devs and engineers, and trying to mimic each other’s GenAI wins.

So what’s Google got to do with it? A lot, actually.

Try this:
Google JUST released Duet AI for Google Workspace hours ago, which is its own AI offering across all Google-platforms. For the most part, enterprise business in the US runs on Microsoft, but Google has gained market share with its email, Sheets, Docs, Drive and other biz-first offerings.

If you want to see what Generative AI might look like in the day-to-day, watch early reports and reviews about Duet AI.

3 – Copilot will change the biz world 🖼️

Appreciate your patience, homies. Yup, finally our actually relatable action item on the topic of the day.

But as you probably understand by now, Microsoft is in the position of power when it comes to widespread GenAI adoption. The biggest advantage: Microsoft 365 Copilot will live in your operating system, unlike what Duet can offer. (Oh, and that whole thing where Microsoft is partial owner of OpenAI and has access to ALLLLLL that data goodness to bake into its offerings).

Try this:
Sure, this might be unsolicited purchasing advice. But, you should probably prepare for Microsoft Copilot NOW before it hits. Microsoft has already started to roll out early access to some enterprise customers, but general availability is expected in late 2023 or Q1-Q2 of 2024.

So how can you prepare?

Get your AI governance and AI data strategy in order! If you’re a business leader, have a talk about ethics. When Copilot is generally released, early adopters in the sector are going to have an unfair advantage. Might as well join them!
