1. Meta Unleashes New Custom Chip to Fuel AI Dominance 😳

Meta is taking its AI game to the next level with the introduction of a powerful custom chip. This move aims to reduce the company's reliance on NVIDIA chips and control the soaring costs associated with running AI workloads. The deployment of this new chip could potentially save Meta hundreds of millions of dollars in annual energy costs and billions in chip purchasing costs.

2. Google Bard Adds AI Image Generation 🖼

Google Bard chatbot is stepping up its game by adding AI image generation. Bard can now generate photos using Google's Imagen 2 text-to-image model, powered by the Gemini Pro large language model. This development brings Bard closer to ChatGPT Plus, which runs GPT-4 and integrates with DALL-E 3 for image generation. The move aims to enhance user experience and make Bard a more robust competitor.

3. OpenAI Study: GPT-4 Not a Threat for Creating Biological Attacks ☣️

OpenAI's GPT-4 language model has been put to the test in a study examining its potential to assist in the creation of biological threats. The study involved biology experts and students, and found that GPT-4 only provided a slight increase in accuracy compared to existing internet resources.

4. FCC Moves to Outlaw AI Robocalls 🚫

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is cracking down on AI robocalls. After a recent incident where an AI-generated message mimicked President Joe Biden's voice, urging New Hampshire residents not to vote, the FCC is taking action. They're proposing to criminalize these unsolicited robocalls under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

5. Shopify Adds New Tools To AI Magic Suite 🛍️

Shopify is stepping up its game with the launch of its AI Magic Suite, which now includes a media editor and conversational search powered by AI. The image editor allows merchants to effortlessly change photo backgrounds, matching their desired theme without the need for Photoshop skills. Additionally, Shopify's AI editor suggests backgrounds and styles that align with existing product images in the merchant's library.

New feature alert: Imagen 2 is now live inside of Google Bard, meaning you can create AI generated images right inside of Google bard!

Dalle-3 inside of ChatGPT is cool and all. But now, it's not the only AI chat with multimodality output.

1 – Prompting, au naturale 🗣

Remember when we talked with Abran from OpenAI about the simple power of strong communication? Welp, that’s how the newest updates in Midjourney work now. 

The new Midjourney V6 update brought with it some great features, especially for beginners. One of our faves that we talked about? Prompt Coherence.

While it may seem kinda like creative prompty sorcery, it’s actually pretty simple (in-depth!) language.

Check the prompting language and you’ll see something amazing — it’s in straightforward plain English.

Midjourney mood boarding is like if creativity was served in a can. 

Like Sugar Free Red Bull x 1,000 but to creatively fuel your biz. 

Rory shared some examples like the below: 

While you may not be able to copy-and-paste this to fuel your brand, following in these footsteps is almost an unfair head start. 

Try this: If you’re in any creative field, you can see how this would instantly save you dozens of hours. But let’s think outside of the box for a sec, shall we? 

✅ Building a new product but struggling to piece it together? Moodboard it.

 ✅ Trying to pitch your biz vision to colleagues but struggling? Moodboard it.

✅ Designing a new office layout but lacking inspiration? Moodboard it.

✅ Planning a wedding but need help visualizing the theme? Moodboard it.

✅ Creating a menu for a restaurant and want to capture the ambiance? Moodboard it.

✅ Developing a new app and looking for a cohesive user interface? Moodboard it.

3 – AI ad campaigns that move you 🕺

Yeah, this was a Midjourney-based episode, but it’s actually about pushing the boundaries of creativity with AI.
