1. OpenAI breaks silence on product updates coming Monday 👀
OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman JUST confirmed something big is coming Monday, but it might not be what was previously reported.
not gpt-5, not a search engine, but we’ve been hard at work on some new stuff we think people will love! feels like magic to me.
monday 10am PT.

Many sources reported that that OpenAI was going to release its AI search product Monday, aiming to rival Google in the AI search space. With Perplexity also in the game, founded by a former OpenAI researcher, competition is heating up for the future of AI-native search interfaces.
However, it appears something magical is coming, whatever that mean. And according to Altman, it’s not GPT-5 or a search engine.
Our thoughts? Could we be seeing a version of the gpt2-chatbot we covered debuting as GPT-4.5 or GPT-4 light? Or, will we see the ‘Dynamic’ mode that we’ve talked about on the show? Or, maybe it could be connected apps directly integrated into ChatGPT.
Make sure to join us Monday, as we’ll be covering the news as it happens. (Also, expect a later newsletter that day so we can bring you the latest!)

California's government is teaming up with five companies to test generative AI tools that could revolutionize public services, aiming to streamline operations and improve efficiency. The state plans to use this technology to reduce customer call wait times, enhance traffic management, and provide vital information in multiple languages.
With potential benefits come concerns about job displacement, misinformation, and privacy issues, highlighting the need for careful oversight as the state delves into this innovative territory.
4. ElevenLabs' AI Music Model 🎶

With LLM consumption costs hitting $46,000 a day, stolen cloud credentials will hinder many companies.

🦾How You Can Leverage:
When ChatGPT first hit the scene, SEO specialists and content writers started flooding the internet with content.
Like…. So much AI content. (Prolly too much.)
But, there’s actually a better way to leverage AI to bring in more traffic to your website.
If you’re not an SEO dork like Jordan, here’s a special announcement: today’s guest is the real deal when it comes to SEO.
Steve Toth is the founder of SEO Notebook, and a leading voice in the Search Engine Optimization community.
We got Steve to share some secrets of not only how he uses ChatGPT and other AI tools to grow his company, but the techniques he uses to grow his SEO clients as well.
The big takeaway — there’s AI superpowers for SEO that have nothing to do with writing (sometimes bland and robotic sounding) content.
Need more visitors to your site?
Can you use AI to convert the visitors already on your site?
And what’s the 1 tip Steve shared that hardly no one is talking about?
Let’s find out and talk about how you can leverage Steve’s advice 👇
1 – Make AI your SEO consultant 🧑💼️️
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
ChatGPT and other large language models can spit out robotic-sounding blog posts at a mile a minute.
But you’re missing the point, Steve said.
ChatGPT’s prowess shines through when it acts more like an SEO consultant and more like an SEO writer.
And whether you have an SEO mindset or not, you should. So many companies get a majority of their inbound leads from organic search and may not even know it.
And LLMs make understanding SEO easier than ever.
Try this:
Some focused ChatGPT tips Steve gave that have nothing to do with content writing:
Ask ChatGPT to compare your current article against current Google SEO guidelines
Ask ChatGPT to analyze all of your competitor’s Calls To Action.
Ask ChatGPT to turn Google’s algorithm updates into natural language advice based on your individual articles or posts.
Give ChatGPT access to your site and ask it to find content ideas you haven’t yet explored.
Ask ChatGPT to improve headlines or meta descriptions that need work.
2 – AI = LESS robotic content? 🤔
Steal from the SEO leaders — use ChatGPT to improve human writing.
Weird, right?
Maybe because it’s such a time-saver, but it seems like we also default to asking ChatGPT to write FOR us. (And LLMs by default generally produce bland and boring content.)
But why not have the human write fresh and lively content, then task ChatGPT with improving every aspect of it?
Yeah, now we’re talkin shorties. 😎
Try this:
Steve has a great post on his website about post-article prompts. In other words, do this:
Have a human write an article.
Use ChatGPT (or your LLM model of choice) and give it access to specific web pages or posts that you’re trying to improve.
Then, run some of Steve’s post-article prompts.
Here’s one we like:
Please compare this article [link] to the Google Product Review Guidelines https://developers.google.com/search/docs/specialty/ecommerce/write-high-quality-reviews and offer suggestions on how the content can be approved to meet the guidelines.
Bonus hack — run through this process with the dozens (or hundreds) of articles that are already on your site.
Also, use natural language and ask ChatGPT how you can make the article better.
As an example, ask:
How could I make the intro article more personable and persuasive?
Can you suggest ways to optimize headings and subheadings for better search engine visibility?
Are there any internal linking opportunities within the article that could be utilized for SEO purposes?
How can I improve the readability of the article to make it more appealing to both readers and search engines?
How can I expand on the topic in a way that adds value for readers without compromising the quality and credibility of the content?
3 – Old school + new school 🤝
Silly us. 🤦
When Steve took this question from Tera, we thought he was gonna rattle a list of shiny AI tools.
Instead, Steve mentioned a few Google search hacks.
Insert your query and load the results. Then, go and edit the search, and you’ll see a specialized list of related questions that wouldn’t otherwise pop up.
Look at the ‘People Also Ask’ section that follows most search results.
And of course, you can then add in some AI magic to work with those results. Just like this 👇
Try this:
We decided to take some old school and mix it with the new school. Steve gave us the alley, so we’re dunking the oop.
Check out today’s AI in 5 for an easy way to take Steve’s old school Google research, add in an AI-powered Chrome extension and some ChatGPT magic, and you’re going to get some highly optimized content in a fraction of the time.
Trust us, this approach is 10X better than just a random AI-generated blog post.
