1. 12 Days of OpenAI Begins 🎁

OpenAI is gearing up for an exciting 12 days of announcements beginning December 5th, featuring the much-anticipated launch of its text-to-video AI tool, Sora. CEO Sam Altman confirmed the plans at a recent conference, teasing daily reveals that could include new products and features, potentially even a festive voice for ChatGPT.

With hundreds of artists already testing Sora, the stakes are high as OpenAI prepares to showcase tools that may redefine how we engage with video and multimedia.

2. Google Launches Veo Video Model Publicly 🎥

Google has officially released its generative AI video model, Veo, for businesses through the Vertex AI platform, marking a significant addition to the content creation toolkit. Capable of producing high-quality 1080p videos in various cinematic styles, Veo allows users to create engaging content from simple text or image prompts, with no specified length limits in its current preview.

However, the technology isn't without flaws, as it grapples with issues like inconsistency in lighting and shadows.

3. Apple and Baidu’s Team Up for AI on iPhones Faces Challenges 😬

Apple and Baidu are joining forces to integrate AI features into iPhones sold in China, but they’re hitting some bumps along the way, according to a report from The Information. As sales of the iPhone dipped 0.3% amidst fierce competition from Huawei, which saw a staggering 42% sales increase, the pressure is on for Apple to enhance its offerings.

The partnership aims to adapt Baidu's advanced language models for Siri and other services, yet Apple's strict privacy policies complicate data collection essential for improving AI accuracy.

4. DeepMind Unveils Genie 2: The Future of 3D Worlds 🌐

DeepMind has just launched Genie 2, an advanced model capable of generating a seemingly endless array of interactive 3D environments from simple prompts. This successor to the original Genie model can simulate rich gameplay experiences, complete with realistic object interactions and NPC behaviors, all while remaining responsive to user inputs.

While it excels in creating immersive worlds—reminiscent of AAA video games—it raises questions about intellectual property, particularly regarding its training data sourced from YouTube.

5. Salesforce's Agentforce Takes Center Stage Amid Microsoft Critique 👀

In a bold earnings call, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff touted the success of Agentforce, claiming 200 customers are already on board with "thousands" more lined up, while taking jabs at Microsoft's Copilot as merely "repackaged ChatGPT." He emphasized that Agentforce promises to revolutionize Salesforce’s operations by potentially reducing annual case volume by up to half, showcasing the swift impact just months after its launch.

Despite Salesforce's positive financial results, their stock dipped slightly, hinting at mixed sentiments among investors. As Microsoft gears up to enhance Copilot into autonomous agents, the competitive landscape for AI solutions continues to heat up, making this a pivotal moment for businesses looking to leverage AI for growth.

6. Google's AI Weather Model Breaks New Ground 🌦

Google DeepMind has unveiled a weather forecasting model that outperforms the renowned ECMWF system, marking a significant leap in predictive technology. This innovative model, named GenCast, utilizes machine learning to generate probabilistic forecasts, offering a range of possible weather outcomes rather than a single deterministic projection.

Researchers assert its capability to predict extreme weather events more accurately, a crucial advancement in our climate-challenged era. According to a recent study published in Nature, this approach could redefine how meteorologists approach forecasting, integrating AI as a vital tool alongside traditional methods.

Avoid ChatGPT Chaos With This Must-Have Chrome Extension!

You ever find yourself in a never-ending scroll to find that chat from last month?

Like… yo. Where’d it go?!

It’s kinda crazy that OpenAI still hasn’t given us a way to better organize chats with folders and simple color coordination.

Sure, there’s a handful of Chrome extensions that do this pretty well, but they’re all mostly full of bloat, adding like 50 other features you may or may not want.

We found one of the simplest Chrome extensions to better organize your ChatGPT chats.

🦾How You Can Leverage:

LLMs like ChatGPT may become commoditized.

So what's the end game, then, when Big Tech companies are investing bajillions of dollars into AI and LLMs?

It could all be a fight for your search bar.

Why?

That’s where your data lives. And where your data lives is where they can make money.

(Sorry to hit y’all with such hard truth on a Wednesday like that. Lolz.)

If only we had an experienced guest to help guide the way?

Andrew is the CEO of NineTwoThree AI Studio, and he joined Everyday AI today to cut through the nonsense and tell us what AI and tech companies are actually fighting for.

Our search bar. And ultimately, our devices.

Fret not shorties.

We got the 101 on what you need to know.

Ready?

1, 2, 333333333

1 – The Search Bar Power Play: Why Google Paid $20B to Own Your First Click 🤳

Your search bar knows more about you than your therapist.

Awkward.

And that’s why big tech companies are willing to pay STUPID money to keep it that way. We're talking $20 billion from Google to Apple just to stay the default search engine.

That's not a business deal. That's desperation.

Andrew told us outright — Because whoever owns your first click owns your digital future.

Full stop.

Try this:

Pick your top three most-used apps. Spend 10 minutes documenting every single step you take to complete basic tasks.

Now imagine saying "handle this" to your AI instead. That's not the future - it's literally what Google and Apple are building right now.

Start mapping your digital habits today so you're not playing catch-up tomorrow.

2 – The Great App Extinction: When Your Phone Gets Marie Kondo'd

Your phone's about to get a major reality check.

Remember managing 47 different apps just to exist online?

That's about to become as outdated as your MySpace profile.

Andrew told us that the future is one AI interface connecting everything.

Bank accounts. Travel bookings. Food delivery. All through a single, secure touchpoint that knows exactly what you need.

Small businesses are already feeling this shift.

Restaurant websites? Dead.

Local service landing pages? Extinct.

If you're not showing up in AI-powered search results, you may not exist in the near future.

Try this:

Create a "digital routine map." Document every single app you open in a day.

Then write down what you actually NEEDED from each app. That gap between apps and needs?

That's where AI assistants are about to eat everyone's lunch.

Start planning your pivot now.

3 – The Hardware Ultimatum: Why ChatGPT Better Start Building Phones 🛠️

ChatGPT might be smarter than your honor roll student.

Too bad that alone doesn't matter.

Google's Gemini is already built into millions of devices. One button. Instant access. No login required.

While ChatGPT's making you open browsers and remember passwords like it's 2005. (Well, until it’s officially rolled out in Apple “Intelligence” …. Which could be like 2032 at this rate.)

This isn't just about convenience.

It's about survival. The next evolution of AI needs hardware like fish need water.

No device integration = no future.

And that’s probably why OpenAI’s Sam Altman is reportedly collaborating with famed ex-Apple designer Jony Ive to work on a hardware device.

Try this:

Force yourself to use your phone's built-in AI assistant for every single task possible this week.

Even when it sucks.

Especially when it sucks.

Document where it fails. That pain point list?

It's literally the roadmap of everything that's about to change in the next 12 months. Be ready.

Numbers to watch

ChatGPT now has over 300 million weekly users.
