🦾How You Can Leverage:
What’s the Holy Grail of AI implementation?
Governance.
No governance, no AI.
If your company has been forever on the fence about company-wide AI implementation, or if you’re constantly trying to tweak and improve your AI processes, today’s show was a fact-filled goodie bag of AI governance.
Gabriella Kusz, a Sr. Fellow at AI2030, joined us live today to talk all things governance, AI frameworks, and collaborating with stakeholders.
(That’s just a few items.)
Need a guiding hand on using AI?
Still searching for the Holy Grail of AI implementation?
We got you, shorties.
Go ask us your biggest AI governance questions, then let’s get after it and give it the ol 1-2-3 👇
1 – Think short 📏️
You don't wanna spend 5-7 years consulting stakeholders and writing up 60-page reports if you’re trying to implement AI.
Your company will be up in smoke if that’s your approach.
That won’t work in AI implementation.
We're living in a tech tsunami.
The rules of yesterday might not fit the picture tomorrow.
Gabriella identified a winning mantra— 2-3 month pilots that are sharp, swift, specific.
Try this: In probably what was one of our most useful shows ever, we laid out an extremely detailed blueprint on 5 Simple Steps to Start Using GenAI at Your Business Today.
We go deep on finding low-risk, high-gain areas for implementation, just like Gabriella talked about.
2 – Follow the leaders 🚶
Confused on Governance?
Gabriella says to follow the leaders.
Observe the frontrunners on this winding road of AI governance. The intel stored in the craniums of big companies and entire countries, is gold.
Try this: Gabriella rattled off a laundry list of resources for inspiration on AI Governance: Groups like NIST, Fintech4Good, & AI2030.
See what ideologies from their policies that you can apply to your own org’s GenAI scenario and you're not far from the Holy Grail of AI implementation. The key is constant learning so you can pivot like a pro and dodge AI pitfalls.
3 – Your task: A task force 🏭
Alright, this ain’t a meeting for the sake of a meeting.
Your first big AI implementation is a big deal, and you need the right people at the table.
Gabriella emphasized an inclusive approach, as decisions made from the Ivory Tower are bound to (probably) fail.
Whip together an A-team of your own. We're not talking token meetings. We mean an all-hands-on-deck task force, with transparency posters on every wall and an AI governance guidebook in hand.
Try this: Tap into industry standard Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) guidelines for direction.
When you have a seat at the AI Governance table, Gabriella suggests looking at existing ESG guidelines to ensure how you implement and govern AI is both good for business growth but also sustainable for the humans involved.
Check out this article from the CFA Institute that looks at the ESG risks of AI implementation.
