Ready for a dirty lil’ secret?
AI’s been used to train employees for years. Like… decades. Our guest today is an expert in that, as her company has been using AI and NLP (Natural language processing) tech to help companies train their employees way before the AI wave crashed ashore.

🤷♂️ What’s Going On and Why It Matters:
Spoiler alert: If you’re working at a large company, AI is probably already training you. (Or watching you)
It’s not all bad.
Today, we dug in deep with Nancy Munro, the CEO of Verbal Transactions. Here’s the skinny: many companies have been using some form of AI to train employees for years.
But with the rise of Generative AI, this type of employee training is going to become even more commonplace.
Nancy broke down how Verbal Transactions is kinda like a flight simulator for call centers. And she cut it straight — this type of training is the future.
So, how do we handle these new AI overlords?
Let’s check it.
🦾How You Can Leverage:
Bots, bots and bots. Got it.
Can we be real, though, for a second.
Is AI training us a bad thing?
Maybe. But maybe not.
Would you rather have a pre-trained bot with you step-by-step while learning a new skill, or a nosy Nancy over your shoulder. (Not YOU, Nancy our guest, just nosy Nancys in general)
Maybe we can all agree that AI-led training and employee engagement isn’t a bad thing.
Let’s break down how we can prep for that kind of future. 👇
1 – Embrace Smart Tech 📳
OK. So maybe you aren’t in the position to train hundreds of employees with AI. But, we can still start incorporating smart skills into our daily lives.
Try this: Nancy suggested something simple: Create your own Alexa Skill. It’s free, and not too hard.
2 – Read all about it 🗞️
The point of this edition of Everyday AI wasn’t to convince you to use AI to train your employees. It’s not for everyone.
Buuuut, if you ARE in the position of building strong teams, you should do more research on how AI could play a role.
Try this: Get your read on to see if AI-led employee training might be a fit for you/your company. Check out this article from Business Tech Weekly or this guide from Hour One.
3 – Dip your toe in the AI waters 💧
Alright, you’re ready to re-record that employee training program from 1997 and wanna give the AI ride a try?
Well, let’s do it then. You can give Nancy and her team a shout, or try out some of these AI-powered training programs.
Now This …
It’s Friday. 🥳
Whether you grind away this weekend sharpening some new AI skills, or ditch the buzz for the beach, we thank you for making us a part of your day.
See ya’ll on Monday!
