1. Anthropic Unleashes Claude 3: Challenger to ChatGPT 😳
Anthropic’s latest offering, Claude 3, is turning heads with its groundbreaking capabilities that outperform industry benchmarks like GPT-4 and Gemini Ultra. With compact models like Claude 3 Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku, users can now access powerful AI tools for content creation data analysis across various formats.
We’ll be talking about this more, so keep an eye out.
2. AI-Generated Photos of Trump Create Social Media Storm 📱
In a recent investigation, it was revealed that supporters of Donald Trump have been spreading dozens of fake photos showing him with Black individuals, generated using artificial intelligence. These misleading images, including Trump posing with Black men on a porch, are circulating on social media platforms, aiming to create a false narrative of Trump's support within the Black community.
3. Rogue AI Models Found on Hugging Face 🚨
Malicious AI models lurking on the Hugging Face platform could grant attackers full control of compromised machines, paving the way for large-scale data breaches and corporate espionage. Security researchers warn of a silent infiltration that leaves victims unaware of their compromised state, with connections made to suspicious IP addresses in Korea and beyond.
4. Health AI Coalition Partners with Regulators to Set Standards 🤝
The Coalition for Health AI, with big shots like Microsoft and Google on board, is teaming up with federal regulators to set quality and safety standards for AI. Imagine FDA and industry leaders doing the tango to regulate AI in healthcare. This partnership aims to tackle new challenges posed by AI tech in medicine, like generative AI.
5. Lightricks Unveils AI-Powered Filmmaking Tool LTX Studio 🎥
Lightricks, the mastermind behind popular apps like Facetune and Videoleap, has introduced a groundbreaking AI-powered filmmaking tool called LTX Studio. Last week’s AI news was all about Google….everywhere.
This week — AI video.
Like. Whoa.
You can get a headache by trying to keep up with the AI news each week, or you can just tune in on Mondays to Everyday AI.
(And read our newsletter each Monday.)
Don’t waste your time. We’ll put in the work, you just show up and learn.
Ready?
Let’s get it.
1 – Figure AI = Future Robots 🤖
This isn’t science fiction.
We’ve talked about Figure AI a few times on the show, but this recent fundraising round is screaming for some attention.
The Humanoid Robotic company Figure AI just closed a $675 million dollar fundraising round.
(That’s a lotta human dollars.)
What makes it maybe even more impressive?
Who the money came from.
Microsoft, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Jeff Bezos.
Yooooooo. 👀
So what do these humanoid robots do?
Right now, they do a lot of common tasks that humans do.
Figure 01 can now complete real-world tasks. In the future, you could simply ask your robot buddy to fetch you a chilled beer from the refrigerator, and he'll do it for you. 🍺

Except slower and a little clunky.
But y’all — these are friggin humanoid robots. And they’re seriously impressive.
And when you combine these things with Large Language Models — sheepish.
There’s a reason people are kinda scared. Us, too, TBH.
Try this:
The Robot report has an interesting and in-depth take on what this massive funding means to the AI and robotics industry. (Would it be weird if that was actually written by humans?)
2 – Elon Musk Sues OpenAI 🧑⚖️️
Elon Musk is throwing down the gauntlet in a new lawsuit, accusing OpenAI of a betrayal of sorts.
Musk was a founding board member of OpenAI, and stepped down as co-chair in 2018 after reported disagreements with current CEO Sam Altman.
Since, Musk has obviously launched his own ChatGPT competitor, Grok.
You can read the entire lawsuit here, but here’s the tl;dr shortest version possible:
Musk sues OpenAI CEO over mission betrayal
Allegations include profit focus over humanity
Claims breach of contract and unfair practices
Dispute over AI technology development
Legal battle insights awaited
Try this:
Was Elon right? Should OpenAI be disbanded?

3 – LTX Studio looks amazing 🤩️
Not gonna lie here…. This one looks sooooo good.
Lightricks just announced LTX Studio, and we think this one could be big.
Does it produce the same quality of output as Sora from OpenAI?
Doesn’t look super close. (But neither have been released, so we’ll see what shakes out.)
But here’s where it looks like LTX Studio is gonna be a game-maker: AI video production with storyboarding.
Wowzers. 😳
The next generation of visual storytelling is here.

If you haven’t heard of Lightricks, you should take note.
Known more for their consumer apps like Facetune and Videoleap, Lightricks is a huge player in the GenAI game.
They’ve raised over $330 million, and were recently valued at $1.8 billion.
Try this:
Is the quality going to rival Sora out of the box? Probably not.
But this is mind-numbingly amazing for the future of creative storytelling.

Imagine consistent AI videos, that you can quickly tweak with text prompts and arrange into a movie.
Pretty soon, you won’t have to imagine it.
Take note.
This is the future of creative storytelling, marketing, and advertising.
4 – Can you read my lips? 👄
MORE news on AI video?
Yes.
(We weren’t lying in our predictions for 2024 when we said it’d be the year of AI video.)
Two big announcements here.
Alibaba’s new AI video tool is called EMO. (Not to be confused with Meta’s Emu video.)
EMO, though, is pretty impressive. It uses Stable Diffusion as the backbone but offers some pretty realistic lip-syncing abilities to still images.
EMO: Emote Portrait Alive
One of their demos from the new lip sync - github demo (non-interactive) only atm. Pretty impressive examples

The results are suuuuuper smooth.
(And yeah, it’s kinda creepy hearing the Mona Lisa talk.) 😅
Not to be outdone, Pika Labs also added some new lip syncing features. But the noteworthy feature here is it works with AI video as the input.
You can just upload your own audio file and…. Wowzers.
Pika got kinda meta (the concept, not the company) and added lyrics and lip syncing to the viral Sora alien video.
We used to recommend Lip Sync for human faces only.
Edit: It can work perfectly with aliens, too! 👽

Try this:
Like we said at the end of 2023, we called for AI video to be the main GenAI story to watch in 2024.
But even we weren’t expecting THIS much advancement in the space so quickly.
Like… it’s barely March. Even our December AI Video episode seems antiquated by now, doesn’t it?
We’ll tell you this — you’ll be seeing 30-minute plus AI videos this year that look like million-dollar productions. Made by amateurs with a laptop.
Gonna be wild.
See what these new AI video advancements mean for the future of media creation.
