🤷‍♂️ What’s Going On and Why It Matters:

Are we all gonna be working for an AI-powered robot named Mika one day?

(Yeah, that’s unfortunately a real thing.)

We get it — thinking about future careers is tough. Especially in the day and age of AI where it seems like years of change come in weekly waves.

To prepare us for what Enterprise AI means for future careers, we employed the help of a real human to help us light the path.

Sorry, Mika.

Christian Hammer is the CEO of Vala AI, which specializes in modernizing IT and operations with their AI solutions.

With a vast background in tech and enterprise roles at household names like Wayfair and Nike, Christian is in a unique position to understand decades worth of tech trends, and how GenAI is going to impact how we all work.

If you wanna get a peek into how Enterprise AI will impact our day-to-day work lives, today’s show is a fascinating watch/listen.

We dove deep into how AI has already started to impact enterprise companies, and how it’ll continue to do so.

A lil preview of what we chopped it up about:

  • If we’re all gonna be working like Tony Stark in Iron Man. (The answer might surprise you)

  • Impact of predictive systems on company-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Current focus on solving problems faced by large enterprises through enterprise AI

  • Expected increase in use of specialized GenAI tools in the short term

  • Achievability of personalized assistants with current AI technology

  • Dystopian and utopian possibilities of AI future

We’re on Team Utopian future, BTW.

Ready to put it all into action?

Us too.

Let’s break it down. 👇

🦾How You Can Leverage:

TBH, future careers in a world of Enterprise AI sound wild

And fun.

And let’s be clear about one thing. As we look into the future, there’s no guarantees.

But Christian had some insights and laid out an ideal gameplan for us all to keep up, regardless of where the space shifts.

From an expert in tech and Enterprise AI, here’s the 1-2-3 on getting prepped for future careers:

1 – AI tools are for short term 🛠️

Hey look at these shiny 17 new AI tools that can tie my Metaverse shoelaces brooooo! Lolz.

Christian warned against getting too cozy with the AI tool frenzy. Sure, they’re helpful and impressive in their capabilities, but they’re probably not part of the long-term solution.

Try this:
Enterprise AI is a bigger train and takes a while to build steam. While smaller companies and entrepreneurs may have been able to adapt to GenAI faster and use umpteen different tools in their workflow, that’s the short game.

The long game? GenAI systems like Microsoft 365 Copilot, which will start getting rolled out to enterprise companies next week. (Personally, we think it’ll be disruptive.)

2 – Embrace new, seamless interfaces

Want some good news? Christian doesn’t see future careers that are tied to a desk, eyes glued on a wall of monitors.

So what might it look like? Look for technology interfaces that make your work life smoother.

Imagine accessing and sharing information seamlessly across all your devices, just like Tony Stark talking with Jarvis throughout his entire home.

Try this: Real talk — AI personal assistants aren’t science fiction. They’re very real, and an emerging trend in Enterprise AI. Check out this recent article on CNBC about how enterprise companies are already using AI assistants in daily workflows.

3 – Adapt, learn and evolve 🪴

Christian’s advice here is sound: incremental learning. Every day. Climbing the mountain of AI success is all about taking it one (incremental) step at a time!

As Enterprise AI splashes onto the scene, we’ll be able to automate more and dive deeper.

There’s two sides to this coin, though. The flip side?

We’ll have to learn to adapt faster, learn more deeply, and evolve in our career trajectory often to keep pace.

Try this:

Wanna dive even deeper? If you enjoyed today’s conversation, you can double down. Jordan actually joined Christian’s podcast, Techtastic, last month. Go listen to their convo, where the duo chat about the future of tech, ChatGPT plugins and more.
