🤷‍♂️ What’s Going On and Why It Matters:

What’s that?

You weren’t ready for your brain to be rattled that hard on a Friday with the weekend clearly in sight?

When talking about the future of work, it’s impossible NOT to mention how Generative AI will be involved in every aspect.

Camilo La Cruz joined us to talk creativity, innovation, and the future of work in the day and age of AI.

As the Chief Innovation Officer of sparks & honey, Camilo stays in tune with changing consumer behaviors, shifts in culture, and how creative brands can keep up.

Make sure to take a deeper dive and peep our takeaways, but here’s what you missed.

The accessibility and power of Generative AI is something we’ve never seen before. And that’s causing rapid shifts in consumer behaviors and how we can create relationships with customers.

And because AI makes it so easy to create compelling content that hits home, the end consumer is being inundated with personalized, hard-hitting messaging and personalized offers at a mind-blowing rate.

So how can we all keep up and use GenAI to better shape our workplaces?

We’ve got the answers. 👇

🦾How You Can Leverage:

Consumers are changing. What it means to be creative is changing. And most challenging? The business world is moving faster than ever because of AI.

Luckily, we had Camilo La Cruz from sparks & honey guide us through.

Here’s the 1-2-3 for how to keep your offerings creative and your consumer relationships authentic in the world of AI:

1 – Ask why 🤔

Whoa.

So simple, yet so profound. When talking about Generative AI, Camillo cut it straight with us. Whether you’re in the creative space or not, he said to hit rewind before seeing how GenAI can help you fast-forward. Ask why.

Try this: Let’s keep step 1 simple. Ask why you’re trying to leverage GenAI. Is it just because others are doing it? Because you want to reduce staffing? Is GenAI filling a skill gap you don’t currently have? Will it help you grow in new markets? Before you implement GenAI, first ask and understand the why around GenAI.

2 – Think about GenAI as a system ⚙️

Don’t think of AI as a competitor or a replacement.

Instead, Camillo recommends finding the best pairing of Generative AI with humans. He gave a great example: first, AI could beat any human in chess. Then, they figured that AI paired with a human could beat any AI on its own.

Try this: Take a look at your operations or areas of growth. Where can you create the human+AI combo that will become an unbeatable pair? And only tap into categories that make sense with your business model and growth channels. Speaking of growth, check out this episode on using AI for growth that talks even more about the human+AI combo.

3 – Change your mindset on work 🧠

Pretty deep for a Friday, right?

Camillo talked about the straight-up blistering speeds of creativity, AI and what it means for the workplace. Whether you like it or not, the future workplace aint gonna look anything like today’s office life. And we agree with his take on this: AI agents are going to be here sooner than we all think.

Soon enough, we’ll have full-blown bespoke AI agents to complement our work, and autonomous agents completing projects on their own with human oversight.

Try this: It’s something we haven’t talked about a lot on Everyday AI, but AI agents are going to be part of the workplace sooner than we all think. The soonest example will probably be Microsoft Copilot, with GenAI integrating across your entire operating system. If you want to explore even further, here’s a great overview of what AI agents are and how they’ll impact creativity and the workplace.

Now This …
