Cliff shared his amazing journey of how his dyslexia led him to create an app that millions of people now use to advance their learning skill, career and more.

And how he scored a partnership with Snoop Dogg and how anyone can get Snoop to read them anything inside Speechify.

But today’s show went far beyond Speechify’s origin story and fun text-to-voice use-cases.

We tackled:

  • Deep learning and fine-tuning voice models for celebrities

  • Importance of protecting creators and ensuring AI safety

  • Using Speechify to avoid reading boring contracts and terms of service

  • Concerns and precautions regarding AI-generated voices

  • Enhancing reading experiences for people with learning differences like dyslexia

  • Adding loved ones' voices and the potential for memorialized voices in nursing and hospice programs

And more.

Now, let’s talk about what you can take away from Cliff’s personal journey, and the Speechify app, to level up. 👇

🦾How You Can Leverage:

Text-to-speech is more than having Snoop Dogg read your meeting notes while on the treadmill.

(Anyone else gonna try this, or just us?)

Look past the bells and whistles and you’ll find some immediate wins for yourself or your biz. That’s why we had the Speechify CEO himself, Cliff Weitzman, dish out all the easy-wins for your personal or professional life.

Let’s break down how a platform like Speechify can change how you approach each day.

1 – A new way to learn 👨‍🎓

Cliff’s story probably hits hard for some.

He shared how he built Speechify kinda for himself. Suffering from dyslexia made it tough for him to learn new things. That was how Speechify was born — as a learning solution for himself and others who struggle with other learning differences, such as ADHD.

Try this: Cliff wrote an in-depth article about how text to speech can help students (and lifelong learners) succeed. Go give it a read. (Or, a listen!)

2 – Get more done on the go 🚗

You can have Cliff help you review boring contracts while doing the dishes (the CEO himself is one of the voices available!) or have Gwyneth Paltrow or Mr. Beast read you the latest news articles during your daily commute.

When your hands are full, learning and improvement doesn’t have to stop.

Try this: Yeah, you can go try Speechify for free. But that’s not the only platform for text-to-speech goodness. Go check out this recent video on how you can use ChatGPT to create a short, custom podcast with another TTS platform.

3 – Remember your loved ones 🤗

Full disclosure this can be both creepy and cool at the same time.

One feature of Speechify is the ability to clone your voice. But Cliff mentioned an even more creative use case — memorializing a loved one. Maybe if you have an aging parent or an ill family member that you’d want to hold onto with the help of GenAI?

Cliff talked about safety measures and safeguards Speechify already has in place for users looking to do that.

Try this: Maybe you have a loved one that you want to memorialize. Cliff said that Speechify is doing this on a case-by-case basis to help people remember people close to them. If that’s something you might want to do, Cliff said you can reach out at [email protected].
