🤷♂️ What’s Going On and Why It Matters:
There’s a reason we had multiple people in today’s livestream ask us to bring Fernando Mier back for another show.
He dropped AI knowledge like most of us drop laundry when taking it from the dryer to the bedroom. (Where DID that sock go?)
Fernando is the Global Emerging Experiences Practice Lead at Avanade, a global leader in digital transformation and a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture.
In other words, Fernando was the perfect person to guide us through how AI is going to change the tech industry.
And did he EVER guide us!
(Thanks Fernando!)
He walked us through different ways Avanade works with enterprise clients in the GenAI space, and gave us a behind-the-scenes look at ways companies can tap into all things generative AI.
(Infomercial voice*) But wait, there was more!
We explored everything from digital AI twins and the Metaverse to AI ethics and the environmental implications of AI.
Sheeeeesh.
This is one episode you might want to re-watch, and go ask Fernando a question in the comments.
Now, let’s unwrap what this all means and put it into use! 👇
🦾How You Can Leverage:
With so much helpful info, how can we possibly apply it all?
Luckily for you, we break down each day’s episode into tangible takeaways.
So if you’re ready to prep your company for AI transformation, or want to get schooled on AI regulations and implications, we got you!
Let’s give it the 1-2-3 treatment! 👇
1 – CX is changing with AI 🤝
Customer experience (CX) is changing quickly, and brands need to keep up.
Fernando shared some great examples on how AI twins and brand avatars may be making their way into the mainstream soon. Instead of a faceless company, brands may soon be rolling out a live, interactive AI version of their company.
Try this:
Whether this seems like a far-off reality or if you feel it’s months away, it’s important to re-examine the customer experience in the age of AI. Gone are the days of impersonal and timely responses. Companies need to think AI-first when it comes to CX.
Fernando mentioned Microsoft Azure’s Digital Twins as another use-case, allowing companies to gain new insights about how customers experience brands. Digital Twins are already making waves in personal branding, clinical trials, product development, and more.
2 – Consider AI implications 🤔
On the surface, GenAI looks like a no-brainer. Work more efficiently AND effectively? Yes please.
But Fernando opened our eyes to outside aspects to consider. Other implications to take into account: ethical concerns, regulatory guidelines and the environmental impacts.
Try this:
In terms of environmental impacts of GenAI, Fernando mentioned the Green Software Foundation, as well as Avanade’s initiatives in this space, such as its work with SSE Renewables.
If you want to dive into ethical and regulatory implications, we’ve got some episodes JUST for you.
3 – Embrace cutting edge tech💡️
Are we a bit jealous that Fernando and crew at Avanade get access to cutting-edge tech before us? Maybe.
But, we can all benefit from the work they do behind tech implementation. As Fernando mentioned, AI technology like Microsoft Copilot will revolutionize the way we work.
To stay ahead, everyday people should embrace AI tools and seek opportunities to integrate them into their workflow. This could include using AI-powered software for tasks like brainstorming, design, or data analysis. Or, just about any manual tasks to clear the mundane and make way for meaningful.
Try this:
Yeah, we’re kinda big Microsoft Copilot fans. If you wanna watch/listen to a bit about future tech and what it means for the rest of us, check out some recent episodes on recent Microsoft Copilot releases, and the potential economic impacts it may have.
Now This …
