🤷♂️ What’s Going On and Why It Matters:
Looking for some food for thought?
Well, Joshua B. Lee dished up an all-you-can-eat buffet of LinkedIn X AI gold.
We’re gonna have to keep this one short so we don’t accidentally write a 352-page book on best practices of using AI and LinkedIn to build authority.
Here’s the skinny:
AI is a tool, not a replacement for your voice. Or human connection.
AI is like your trusty sidekick. Joshua gave you his inside secrets on not just content creation (copy his 10-20-70 method!) but also how you can use AI tools like Jasper and Merlin to fuel your brand building on LinkedIn.
Are you still reading this and haven’t listened to this episode yet?
OK.
We’ll wait here while you finish.
…
…
…
Bet.
Now, let’s break it down.
🦾How You Can Leverage:
Ready to launch into LinkedIn stardom?
Us too.
Joshua from gave the inside scoop on how he uses AI to create more authentic relationships and extend his reach at Standout Authority.
Here’s why YOU should pay attention: LinkedIn is where business gets done. (Seriously… 80% of ALL social media leads come from LinkedIn. So those other dozen or so social channels are fighting for the 20%)
Let’s use AI to get things poppin on LinkedIn 👇
1 – Use the 10-20-70 rule 🔢
How do you stand out in a crowded space?
Joshua said it’s best to create consistent content that’s high quality. But, you’ve gotta be a human. That’s why the 10-20-70 rule is a great guide for people to stand out and build relational value.
Try this: Create a consistent content schedule with 10% talking about your personal journey, 20% talking about the specific results that you or your company have created and 70% adding value and educating people in your target demographic. So, engage with others, respond to people’s comments, and even check out chipping in to LinkedIn collaborative articles.
2 – Use AI tools to create value 👨💻
Ditch the viral content trap and focus on educational and value-driven posts.
And use AI as your sidekick — don't rely solely on AI-generated content though, keep it authentic. You might as well rely on AI on LinkedIn, as the company itself has already started to roll out AI-generated content creation tools in its own platform.
Try this: You can use tools like Jasper or Merlin that Joshua recommended to brainstorm content ideas, or even help you better express your comments. As an example: you can type in bullet-points for your thoughts on someone else’s post and have AI writing tools turn your authentic thoughts into a more expressive comment at scale.
3 – Create a captivating story 📚
Prepare for landing.
Alright, if you’re taking Joshua’s advice to heart, you’re probably gonna start to see an influx of traffic to your LinkedIn profile. Instead of putting your title as your main LinkedIn greeting, you can create a headline that better conveys what you’re all about. A story.
Joshua’s advice: Instead of bland titles, go for "I help x achieve y so they can have z" format. Gold!
Try this: Think of your LinkedIn profile as a landing page. Focus on results and connections, not sales and marketing. Try some AI-powered tools designed to help optimize your LinkedIn profile like Resume Worded, Careerflow, or Jobscan.
Now This …
Boom! Your LinkedIn profile just got a glow up! 🌟
We know the LinkedIn algorithm can be tricky but this should help!
