1. Mr. Beast Battles AI Deepfake in TikTok Scam Ad 📱

YouTube sensation MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, is sounding the alarm on AI deepfakes after a scammy TikTok ad showcased a fabricated version of him peddling $2 iPhones. While TikTok has since pulled the ad, the incident underscores the challenges platforms face in policing deceptive content.

2. Anthropic Aiming for a $30 Billion Valuation💰

AI startup Anthropic, the creator of Claude, is on a fundraising spree, targeting $2 billion from big names like Google. This move comes after Amazon's hefty $1.25 billion investment just last week. With sights set on a valuation between $20 billion to $30 billion, Anthropic's growth is nothing short of meteoric, especially considering its $4 billion valuation back in March.

3. Google DeepMind's Leap Towards Universal Robots 🤖

4. AI Job Listings Skyrocket on LinkedIn 📈

The AI job market is booming, and LinkedIn's data is here to prove it. The platform has seen job postings mentioning AI more than double globally since 2021. 🤷‍♂️ What’s Going On and Why It Matters:

Whether you know it or not, product marketing teams shape every aspect of our lives.

In the end, we use hundreds of products or services each week. From the websites we browse and the smartphone apps we use, to the TV programs we watch and the way we vacation. And behind the scenes, product marketing teams shape all of these products, services and experiences.

And GREAT product teams are already tapping into Generative AI to give us all better experiences and outcomes.

That’s why we were lucky to get some in-depth takes from Daniel Glickman, the Sr. Director of Product Marketing ActivTrak.

Double bonus — ActivTrak focuses on employee engagement and productivity, so we got to tackle GenAI and its impact on the workplace from multiple angles with Daniel.

And while Daniel DID drop some absolute gems to help product marketers better leverage AI, he gave insights that are applicable to us all.

Yeah, what Bryan said.

In today’s show, Daniel shares his insights on the fascinating world of generative AI and data analysis, and how those shape the products we all use everyday. He discusses the power of AI in helping companies research faster and the potential impact it can have on changing the way products are used and marketed.

So what did we uncover when it comes to product marketing and the future of employee productivity?

Let’s break it down. 👇

🦾How You Can Leverage:

Whether you’re in product marketing or not, Daniel dropped some great tips and insights on how to get the most outta AI.

We legit hit on far-ranging topics, from product marketing to employee performance.

Some highlights:

- AI in product usage and marketing

- The anticipation of future advancements in AI and research challenges

- Building better products and explaining them through AI analysis

- Using AI to identify connections and high-performing individuals

Long story short: we learned a lot. This one might require a re-watch, y’all.

Now, let’s highlight our key takeaways with the ol 1-2-3 treatment!

1 – Right tool, right job 🛠️

Daniel shared a valuable takeaway — there’s no one-size-fits-all in GenAI. At least, not yet. In the same way that you might shop at Home Depot for some products and Lowe’s for others, Daniel suggested being selective about how (and why!) you incorporate AI into your workflow.

Try this: Daniel shared some of his and his team’s processes: from using Google Bard more for research than writing, and using ChatGPT for analysis and Ryter for …. Writing!

2 – Use AI in the right places

working hard and putting in equal time, yet one rep was outperforming the other. Why? Well, one rep was spending more time on research, while another was spending more time on actionable solutions.

Try this: This is a GREAT use-case for GenAI in disguise. If you’re a decision-maker in a company, find bottlenecks where employees are spending maybe TOO much time on manual tasks. Then, come up with best-practice GenAI solutions to spend less time on manual work, and more time on meaningful work. For more on that, check out ActivTrak’s free state of the workplace report.

3 – Speed up market research with AI 🏃‍♂️

Another great, actionable takeaway from Daniel. And this one is more geared toward product marketers. (But truth be told, we think everyone should steal this tip.) Let’s say you’re looking at customer data — whether it’s reviews on a review site like Google or G2, or long transcriptions of customer calls. You can spend hours or days making sense of this data the old fashioned way, or ….

Try this: Daniel suggested, as an example, using a Large Language Model like Google Bard to come up with Google Ads headlines ideas that solve that customer’s current issue. Or, like we did here, you can use ChatGPT to quickly crunch hundreds of thousands of data points to give you valuable insights about your customers.

Now This …
