šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø Whatā€™s Going On and Why It Matters:

Ever wonder how some of the largest companies in the world are using Generative AI?

Wonder no more.

Today, we got an inside look at how Walmart is using Generative AI from Jack Adams, Associate Merchant and GenAI Champion at Walmart.

And in the same way you can buy just about anything from Walmart, we all had the opportunity to fill our carts with AI knowledge.

Jack gave us a walkthrough of how Walmart is not only using AI to better train and prepare its corporate team, but also how the global giant is bringing AI to improve the customer experience.

And also along the way ā€” Jack dropped some straight up bulletin board material for all other AI enthusiasts out there.

(Side noteā€¦ anyone else but Everyday AI bringing you daily access to thought leaders in the GenAI space? Nope. Didnā€™t think so.)

So what did we learn from Jack about how Walmart is using AI?

Some Key learnings from todayā€™s show:

- Adoption of Generative AI in Enterprise Companies
- Future Developments and Challenges in AI
- How companies should choose what AI platforms to be involved with
- Expansion of possibilities and amplitude through emerging technologies

And a ton more.

Now, letā€™s talk about what it all means. šŸ‘‡

šŸ¦¾How You Can Leverage:

Learn from the big dogs, right? šŸ•ā€šŸ¦ŗ

Welp, time to feast yā€™all. Jack gave us some great insights on how one of the worldā€™s largest companies is using GenAI.

So whether youā€™re also leading an enterprise team, or trying to push your small biz forward, we can all learn from this blueprint.

1 ā€“ Be cautious, yet bold šŸ«”

Itā€™s no secret that global juggernauts were cautious when the GenAI wave crashed the shores about a year ago. We get it. You donā€™t wanna be the first company that makes a mistake or leaks internal data. In the big world of AI, thereā€™s plenty to fear. But here's the key: you canā€™t let fear hold you back.

Try this: Like Jack talked about, enterprise companies can no longer afford to sit on the sidelines. Or even small businesses. Not sure where to start? Go check out this internal blog from Walmartā€™s tech team, detailing how theyā€™re using Conversational AI.

2 ā€“ Build a playground for your team šŸ›

One of the fascinating aspects of Walmart's approach to generative AI is their decision to build a playground for their team. Think about it - a safe space where employees can learn, experiment, and innovate with generative AI. It's like a kidā€™s sandbox. But for AI. And adults.

Try this: Create a safe space for your team to explore AI. Even without tapping into your companyā€™s data. In order to learn, employees need a space to explore. To build and break things. Hereā€™s some good resources to get your started.

3 ā€“Bring AI to your customers šŸ¤–ļø

Alright, you took the bold step and let your employees dive headfirst into GenAI. Whatā€™s next? Bring it to your customers! Jack detailed a great example, and what Walmart is bringing to its employees. Instead of searching Walmartā€™s site for ā€œbarbecueā€ which might bring up a variety of results, imagine chatting with a smart assistant, which uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to turn that vague request into a complete checklist of items (and ideas!) for your next backyard bash.

Try this: Thereā€™s plenty of ways you can bring your data, insights and services straight to your customers. Caution: always do your due diligence on data privacy and security. With that in mind, thereā€™s a host of drag-and-drop tools to bring conversational AI (like the BBQ example above) to your customers. A few of our faves: Dante, Chatbase, Intercomā€™s Fin, Ada, Botpress, Botsonic and Knibble. (Ok, that was more than a few. Whoops)

Now This ā€¦

Whatā€™s your fave purchase from Walmart ever?
